The FJEE type laboratory devices for sulfonation by sulphur trioxide is used for the sulfonation/sulfation of various chemicals like surfactants, additives for printing and dyeing, crude oil extraction auxiliaries, pharmaceutical intermediates and other industrial auxiliaries. The total output ranges from 0.1 kg/h to 8 kg/h. The devices are made up of several key process units, including air drying, SO₃ generation, sulfonation and tail gas treatment. More subsequent units are available and may be easily assembled to above units according to the request of different organics for subsequent procedure such as neutralization, hydrolysis, post-preparation. The total device is controlled by PLC, and relevant parameters and operating system are displayed on a Siemens touch screen. The equipments are characterized with short experiment cycle, simple operation procedure, small area occupation and low cost, etc.
